New Year’s Day – Henry Jaglom plays Drew, a frazzled, recently divorced Californian who moves to New York on New Year’s Eve, only to discover that his apartment is still occupied by its previous tenants – three young women – one of whom, Lucy (Maggie Wheeler, “Friends”) is in the midst of a romantic crisis of her own with Billy (David Duchovny, “Californication”). For all concerned, in fact, it turns out to be time to move on.
