Yuval Hadadi – Pride Month Interview

  1. What inspired you to be a filmmaker?

I’ve always been interested in telling stories. As a child I wanted to create backstories for everyone, I had a particularly good imagination. Then I became a theater director and from there thought becoming a film director made sense.

  1. What does Pride mean to you, and do you have any advice for the next generation?

Pride means so many things. Pride means visibility and acknowledgment. At the end of the day, we have to treat others as equals. Pride is being who you are and who you want to be. For being wanted to get into filmmaking, you need to be yourself and be authentic.

  1. What is your next project?

I’m writing my next film now. I’m interested in films that discuss human behavior which is what my new film will be about.
